The open concept and strong, yet flexible, material reminds us we are always striving for connection through closer relationships. The unadorned metal with hammered ends speaks to the notion of being Beautifully flawed and celebrated as is. The pressure exerted on the metal develops a pattern of beauty and quiet endurance, creating character more unique than the original form.
Materials: all BARE materials are made in the USA, and the sterling silver option is made from recycled materials.
All of the metal hardware is 14k gold-filled or sterling silver, both of which are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.
Gold-filled is constructed in two or three layers. The core metal is jewelers’ brass, and then the gold is bonded to the surface of the brass core with heat and pressure. Unlike gold plated (aka electroplated or "dipped") metals, Gold-filled is legally required to contain 5% or 1/20 gold by weight. Gold-filled is more durable than gold plated and less expensive than pure gold.
